Office: Sturges 207 Education M.A., Ph.D., Duke University Biography Marty Hipsky earned his Ph.D. from Duke University. His specialties are Anglo-American modernism and critical theory. He joined the faculty in the fall of 1995. His publications include articles in Postmodern Culture, Women’s Writing, The Journal of Popular Film and Television, and Pierre Bourdieu: Fieldwork in Culture. He is currently completing a book on popular modernism and the early twentieth-century romance novel. Subjects taught include modern British literature and critical theory, as well as some nineteenth-century British literature and freshman composition. Courses Taught ENG 105, Freshman Writing Seminar
