Bio:	Professor Long specializes in English Renaissance literature, particularly Shakespeare and Milton. He also has strong interests in the history of epic and romance, sexuality and gender studies, trauma theory, and film. His current book project, "The Uncollected Self: Memory, Subjectivity, and Social Change in English Renaissance Drama," is a study of memory disorders on the Renaissance stage. He teaches freshman writing, a variety of classes on Renaissance literature, and the gateway course for the major.
