Biography

Dr. Constance S. Richards is adjunct assistant professor of English language and literature at Ohio Wesleyan University and Lecturer in the Department of African-American and African Studies at the Ohio State University. She is a graduate of Ohio State University, where she received B.As. in Psychology and Women’s Studies, M.As. in Women’s Studies and English, and a Ph.D. in English with a focus on postcolonial literatures and feminist theory. She is the author of On the Winds and Waves of Imagination: Transnational Feminist Studies in Woolf, Wicomb, and Walker. Her current research project concerns ecofeminism in postcolonial literature. Her teaching assignments have included courses on international women’s literature, African and African-American literature, Women’s Studies, gender and identity, and first- and second-level composition.
