Office: Corns 318 Education M.A., The Ohio State University Biography Professor Stephens’ areas of interest and research include composition theory, business writing, playwriting, short fiction, personal experience narrative, folklore and material culture. She has co-authored an introductory folklore textbook, has written several plays and short stories, and has presented work on personal narrative and the negotiation of identity. She gained professional writing experience as a writer and editor with an educational consulting firm, and has conducted folklore fieldwork and research for the Ohio Arts Council and America’s Industrial Heritage Project. She teaches freshman writing and college success skills and tutors in the Writing Center. Courses Taught ENG 105, Freshman Writing Seminar
